General Purchasing Information

Sentry's corporate purchasing department is responsible for identifying, acquiring, assessing, positioning and managing business resource needs for Sentry Insurance and its subsidiaries. The purchasing function is centralized at Sentry's Home Office in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Sentry Insurance considers its business relationships with each of its vendors and potential vendors confidential. Sentry and its employees will handle information received from vendors responsibly. Vendors are likewise expected to handle internal information received from Sentry purchasing and/or Sentry employees in a confidential and responsible manner.

Sentry Insurance makes its purchasing decisions based on a number of factors including but not limited to quality, delivery and availability, expertise and experience, financial stability, total cost of ownership, risk assessment, historical performance, and price. If and when approved, purchases are awarded to the vendor that ultimately delivers the best value when all requirements and qualifications are taken into consideration.
